eNPS: Meaning and Purpose
Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) measures how likely employees are to recommend your company as a place to work. This calculator turns survey counts into a score.
Factors That Affect the Result
- Number of promoters
- Number of passives
- Number of detractors
- Survey response rate
- Follow-up open-ended feedback
How the eNPS Is Calculated
Employees answer 0 to 10 on whether they would recommend the company
Promoters score 9 or 10, Passives 7 or 8, Detractors 0 to 6
eNPS = % Promoters − % Detractors (range −100 to +100)
Of 100 respondents, 50 are promoters, 30 passives and 20 detractors, so eNPS = 50% − 20% = +30.

Why It Matters
eNPS is a quick, repeatable pulse on engagement, and its trend over time matters more than a single number.
Compliance note: A small sample can swing the score sharply, so use it with qualitative feedback.
